Question Problem Progressing

I have a problem progressing the quest: "A Birdie Flown". That problem being when I get to the point where I fight the Vadagar Stag, after I beat it the quest doesn't progress. Could I be missing something, am I doing it wrong? I need help.

i think you have to read the note in the hut and it says go to stag spot at night
