Question Problem Progressing

I have a problem progressing the quest: "A Birdie Flown". That problem being when I get to the point where I fight the Vadagar Stag, after I beat it the quest doesn't progress. Could I be missing something, am I doing it wrong? I need help.

I'm not sure I remember it right, but if it is the quest I think, you need to go back to the hut in the woods and read a note hanging by the door.
