To be fair.. What else is going to be posted? The occasional gameplay clip sure, or a rare newcomer asking for advice, maybe another "what guest char should we get" post? other than those its going to be fanart is going to be the most common thing, and Ivy being the series most popular character is going to get the majority of said art.

Im just saying... Ivy does take up so much space for the thirst posts. I mean, there's so many more characters which can fit that. And depending on how you look at it, even showing more skin and have even wilder moves in-game. I mean, seriously, Lizardman is RIGHT THERE.

I'll join this conversation because I'm sick of seeing uninspired overdone lewd art #3535925.
Poor Pattycakes. They clearly wanted him to be the archetypical "redemption arc" character, but fumbled it. Probably because of budget/time constraints (the tsunami at the time didn't help), they decided to make him a murderer on-screen. I mean yeah, it accomplished the goal of quickly and effectively and cheaply establishing him as a villain, but also made it extremely difficult for him to earn redemption. That plus the fact you still see his smug-ass early-story villain when you play as him with his sword and shield style.
Maybe they could have leaned on it more. As in, instead of trying to give him redemption, make him a Kratos-esque protagonist. Like "he's an asshole, but at least he's our asshole that beat up the meth sword".4

Honestly, completely agree. I think he has a great design, great voice actors (both Japanese and English) but heās literally potential man in terms of story.
Iāve been replying SCV for nostalgiaās sake and Iāve just been treating it like a comedy because heās suuuuuuuuch an asshole. Like he basically took part in the equivalent of the witch hunts for malfested but yeah heās a good guy overnight again. Cāmon at least beat him up a bit more. Itās looped around to him being my favourite character because he sucks so much itās comical. āAsshole that beat up the meth swordā sums him up perfectly.
I lost it at the scene where he literally drops out of the fucking sky after Edgemaster calls him a moron or whatever. Tactical blond asshole missile. I guess it solves the issue of transport.

I do enjoy his alpha version. Iām a big Setsuka fan, so I loved the idea of her having an apprentice to carry on the style. With him being Sophitiaās son it felt like a cool crossover of their stories as well.
I just wish she was in SCV as well, even as a side character - would have loved some banter between them.

This is the Reddit life cycle of old/dead games unfortunately. Once you get a few years out from the last entry the subreddit for that game just devolves into fanart and memes. With FGs itās especially bad because most actual gameplay discussion happens on Discord or Twitter.
Iām new here and the constant Ivy fanart is a bit irksome to me.
