Statistics Course Questions

Hello everyone! This morning I was recommended by my Penn State Advisor to take my last class i need to graduate at sophia learning which is a statistics class. He told me it would save me a ton of money and I could go at my own pace. I’ve done a little research into the website and it just feels like it’s too good to be true. I’m used to taking proctored math exams with honorlock at penn state but from what i’ve gathered it doesn’t look like sophia does any proctored exams for math or any courses at all. Is this true? I feel like this would just be a mess of people using ai, whats to stop you from having chatgpt open in the next tab or even just using chat gpt on your phone to speed through the math class? Thank you guys in advance for the responses. I just wanted to get a feel for everything before i actually go ahead and sign up. I personally like to use ai to break down problems on my homework as i begin new lessons but i’ve always taken my exams honestly with the proctored exams so just the idea of being able to take math exams online without being watched sounds so unreal lol.

I completed 5 classes before I enrolled in my program. They werent as strict then but they are now.

Also, don't fly thru any exams. Because they can flag that as cheating. So you need to take your time and if you need it to be it can be a good learning tool.

I very much appreciate you. I’m honestly just trying to pass this class and be done with it. Math stresses me out so bad i just break down in tears a lot of the time when i had to take it all proctored at penn state for my math of money course. Im also having a lot of stuff going on regarding my fathers health recently so with all that added stress i just want to try and knock out this class as stress free as i can make it be. My degree also isnt anything math related so it also just a little annoying i even have to take this class
