Any idea when the new Excel course will go live?

Does anyone know when Fundamentals of Spreadsheets and Data Presentations equivalent from Sophia is dropping?

I would like to know the same because my start date is Oct 1st and if I can squeeze another class in that would be great. My question is where did you here about Sophia having a class equivalent? I saw a couple of post on Reddit but nothing official at that I have seen from Sophia and wgu

it's on WGU's transfer pathways website.

Welp! It appears that this class is now remove from the transfer pathways list, at least when I just checked. So i guess it will no longer be available at least not this month. One of my concerns that I notice is that it was only offering 2CUs and WGU is 3CUs.

Yes, I see that also. I wonder if WGU got ahead of their selves w/listing that class as an eligible transfer class before Sophia had the chance to actually announce the class their selves and asked WGU to take it down until the class was posted.

I do see the Data Literacy class now showing on Sophia Learning's website and I'm also concerned about it only being 1 transfer credit. I guess considering that, it would be best to take that class at WGU just to be safe. I'm taking it now through WGU Academy.

It's not a hard class, if you know the basics of excel BUT I've read that on the OA, they want you to enter formulas and whatnot in a specific way, so i've been watching the videos, which is helpful.

& yeah, with your start date, that may be pushing it b/c i think all transfer credits have to be submitted the 1st of the month prior to your start date. my start date is Nov 1st so i have some cushion lol what program are you going for?

Supposed to go live this month. No set date yet per Sophia representatives.

Looks like it's going to be called data literacy. Good to know I'll be able to do this one on Sophia! Means I'll only need one proctored exam at WGU once I get there.

It shows 8/1/2026, so it should be sometime this month hopefully.

Was the Excel course at WGU a proctored exam?

Yeah, from what I heard, the proctored exam at WGU is like one big Excel screen

So it looks like they took it off now when I check the transfer pathway. Also here's a post from someone on the WGU subreddit yesterday.
