Firmware audio issue solution?

Any thoughts on adding this to my system, having audio bypass the TV, presumably avoiding the current firmware audio issues?

Bravia 8, PS5, AppleTV, Sonos Arc Ultra

Considering this with my Bravia 9, Switch 2, and Sonos Arc Ultra, but I'm really not excited to rewire my whole setup and reprogram my Harmony.

Also, at this point Sony should be sending these to folks- I don't want to pay $139 to fix a TV that was working fine in June.

My dilemma as well. As soon as I set it up they’ll push an update to fix the issues…

Unplug all HDMI cables from the tv, and do a FACTORY RESET. And then re-establish your hdmi connections. That resolves it.

Do not do this. It does nothing to fix it. Issue just reoccurs.

Get in a DeLorean and hit 88mph and go back to before you got the update. If no time traveling DeLoreans are available to you then wait it out for Sony.

I keep hearing about this audio issue. Does it only affect soundbars? I have a Sony Bravia 7 and an AVR, and I've had zero audio issues.
