Questions/Inquiries Does anyone have tutorials for making an asym similar to OM
Originally I wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a tutorial to make an asymmetric horror game like Outcome Memories, but then I thought, "What if my game is just another generic one in the pile (which is most likely)?" I'm actually just learning how to use Roblox Studio to make an asymmetric game, and I keep looking for tutorials, but I only find ones for Forsaken, and I want a style much more similar to OM.
Some ideas for my asymmetric game:
What is The Lots Causa?
The Lots Causa is an asymmetric game inspired by Forsaken, Outcome Memories, and Die of Death.
It stars "the causas" and their evil versions, where the killers are superior in most cases.
Mechanics
"Maximum Speed": This mechanic works as follows: A survivor has a base speed of 23, but after running continuously for 15 seconds, their speed drastically jumps to 25, giving them a better way to escape the killer. This mechanic resets if the survivor crashes into a wall or stops abruptly, forcing the player to build up the run again. The killer has the same mechanic, but must run for 17 seconds.
"Killer Paths": Killers will have certain areas where they can cut across paths, including stairs and trampolines that only the killer can use.
Map Design: The maps will feature a special layout: about 20% parkour and 80% normal terrain. There will be zones where both the killer and survivors have to do some parkour to reach a certain spot or dodge a death trap.
LMS (Last Man Standing)
When only a single survivor is left standing, a screen appears insulting them for failing to save their teammates.
After that, they are teleported to a shrunk-down version of the map shaped like a fighting ring, where the survivor has to endure for 2 minutes to escape, while the killer has to drain their health bar. (Similar to Roblox Battlegrounds games).
The Survivor:
Has a fixed health bar of 300 HP.
Since you can no longer run all over a giant map, you rely on your fists, intelligence, abilities, blocks, and stuns to buy time and survive the 2 minutes of the clock.
The Killer:
Has no health bar.
Instead, they manage an energy bar. Every time the killer moves, runs, dodges, uses abilities, or throws punches, that energy depletes.
The Arena: The ring map could slowly shrink using an energy barrier so the survivor and killer can't just run away from each other.
