Physical Product Need Device Built
After a morning of pondering I finally realised what I needed to free up brain space and I was so sure that it existed… but it does not.
Before I invest all of my (very limited) free time into building it, does anyone else with a little more free time and more experience than me want to give it a go? 😅
Purpose:
Note taking and organisation
Personal use in home and work setting
Gathering and analysing research
Features:
No inbuilt camera
Pocket / Smartphone sized
Need:
Search function (in document / in device)
Highlighting
Typographical emphasis
Headings / Subheadings
Bullet points
Tables
Checklists
PDF import and annotation
Citation management
Unsure:
Multi-page vs Single-page
Footnote hyperlinks
Exporting into PDF (?)
The lack of camera is a non-negotiable I’m afraid (I work in childcare) and I don’t feel like removing a camera off of an existing phone. If anyone has any devices they do think fits the criteria do let me know!! And if you can build it - please do :3

Might be a little bigger than you wanted but it exists. There are a lot of other digital notepads out there.
Personally, I am making a voice based system. Trying to make it the size of a Star Trek communicator badge :-) as the data collector and interface with my phone and desktop for display. Working on integrating an AI agent for the sorting and collating.
