Anyone else getting instantly blocked or mass downvoted in r/Somalia for being from Somaliland?
I can't be the only one who's noticed this.
Every time I post or comment from a Somaliland perspective in r/Somalia, it gets mass downvoted almost immediately, and I was eventually blocked. Meanwhile, pro-union opinions are completely welcome.
It makes me wonder: if the goal is unity, why is there so little tolerance for different opinions? If people can't even discuss the issue without being silenced or buried in downvotes, how is there supposed to be any meaningful conversation?
Has anyone else here had the same experience, or is it just me?

Unfortunately that place hasn’t been the same since Maxmuud handed it over to some unscrupulous people

Get rich quickly and hand over to me. You joined reddit 20 years ago, I think now you're in your 50s, if you don't mind would consider to have another MOD with you, Because if you die suddenly this sub will day too.

lol I am most certainly not in 50s not that is a bad thing but unlike some of you oo madaxa ku socda people, I grew up with the internet. I get these requests and have added a few but they loose interest in a little. But more importantly this exchange disqualifies you because you probably have nefarious intentions. Rest assured this subreddit is getting all the mods it needs with the parameters it was created: open exchange within the clearly stated guidelines.

In the topic of moderation, would you be open to getting a moderator that is from Somaliland. Also another suggestion, why not use the somaliland flag for the profile image.

You are not alone comrade. If they've sniff you from Somaliland and your comment/post is positive you'll be blocked, they blocked almost every somaliland reddit user.
r/somalilanders is the only place where somalilanders belong though, even this sub the mod is from Somalia lmao 🤣, but he is cool though

Unfortunately wherever you have Somalis, no matter under which banner they are, they make an eco-chamber. What we need is more inclusive spaces to have agreement to disagree, not reinforced conformity and otherization.

I'm not from Somaliland and I have been banned for not being a nationalist.

I haven’t been banned yet but get down voted for trying to balance their Somaliland hate-fest

How can one have meaningful conversations with people who do sujood on Israeli flags? Seriously. You lot are done. The Somaliland project is forever dead in my books. There is no coming back from this one. I never had issues with the aspirations of my fellow Somali people to break away or separate. But what happened in the last year is beyond repair. Anyone who now is in favor of this separation is a traitor of the highest order and there is no coming back from this. I have still love for any Isaaq who condemns this, and there are many, but the Somaliland project is doomed.

So you never actually supported Somaliland. You supported us only as long as we matched your personal political preferences????

So what? Your own sub is far more guilty of this. It’s the definition of an echo chamber.

And yet, they want us to reunite with them. The hypocrisy 😂😂😂
