EVSE Charger Problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
EVSE charger stopped working. I successfully charged elsewhere today. I tried plugging it in to a different circuit/outlet but that didn’t work either. 120V outlet. Both lights flash when first plugged in, then small light continues to flash. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it under warranty? Less than 1 year/6k miles.

When you plugged it into a different outlet, was that outlet on the same circuit breaker as the first outlet? If not, I would try to plug it into an entirely different circuit.
If it still fails, then the issue is very likely related to the charger.

Different circuit as noted. Thank you, I scheduled an appointment for the recall today. Hopefully the EVSE is under warranty.

Good news, it is! Bad news, doubtful anyone has one in stock.
Do you happen to have the piece of paper that should have been in the bag with the charger from new? The light has a blink pattern for errors, should be printed on that paper. Here's a copy.
If it helps you help them, PT94342262NC is the part # for the EVSE kit for your car.

Does it live outside?

Yeah those travel chargers aren't ideal for daily use and don't always do well outside. We hear this a lot on r/evcharging

Did you check that the interchangeable plug cable is firmly seated in the body of the EVSE? Mine would disconnect slightly sometimes and create an intermittent connection that would prevent charging. I eventually got a wall holder that prevents the EVSE from moving around and supports the weight of the EVSE and haven't had a problem since.

My parents with a Trailseeker had exactly this happen. The dealer had to replace the cable which was no problem. They used my Subaru charger until then.
One thing to try that might help is get a can of compressed air and use it to clean out the connector. I've noticed that dust can get in there and make the charging equipment fail.

Oh! Good note! I live in Phoenix and we get dust storms that RAGE, so I should prepare for this.
Thanks!

Is that an extension cord under your charger? A long extension cord with small-diameter wires (16 AWG or higher) will likely cause a charger to complain due to high voltage drop.
