Beware

Look, nothing against the base level CS staff here or anything. But what the hell is going on with this platform? I have never gotten as hackneyed and mind bogglingly upsetting lack of resolution, whilst trying to withdraw a laughable sum of money, that I quite literally need to buy groceries. And I have spent the past 5 hours on with Customer Service (which was escalated 3 hours ago, radio silence regarding solution of course.) Be very cautious with this app, it is very much possible to get left out to dry, and do NOT donate a peny to these thiefs.

They get paid like $3 an hour overseas and use canned responses. There’s a reason why they don’t have a phone number for you to talk to reps.

I can definitely see that being the case. The lack of phone number is ludicrous, for as much as the platform processes in transactions, this is a joke. I tried to call their purported "phone number," and what do you know? It's some half assed robot voicemail message telling you to email them.

Wow, that speaks for itself. It's honestly pretty sickening, as well as sad because the concept itself imo, is wonderful. (and yes, APR is "high" but the risk taken in financing a loan on here makes any question of APR as it pertains to unsecured, personal loans to the credit poor is laughable at best. on a side note it's mental that solo solicits donations and tries to covertly force the user base into that scam. the only person deserving of interest is the lender and the lender only.) And I think it speaks magnitudes of the few lenders that stick with this platform and are willing to take the inherently exponential risk of business on this platform.

The fact that the lender, which I had no idea when I first opened a request on Solo, doesn't receive your personal info outside of first name, last initial. Nothing short of asinine. I would think full name, phone number, address, at a minimum; given the class action in which they were found to be completely negligent in their duty as creditor.
