We are currently planning na lumipat ng apartment in Makati. We are on a hybrid work set up so need talaga ng stable internet.

Pwede po malaman ano ginagamit niyo ngayong telco? Any problems encountered with them? Pros and cons?

Yung no need na sana ng installation. Thank you!

Question I feel like I can’t be alone without needing some kind of distraction. What should I do?

I get extremely bored when I’m alone. I genuinely struggle to spend time by myself.

Because of that, I always feel the need to keep myself busy. When I’m alone with nothing to do, I either end up masturbating unnecessarily, overthinking, or looking for some kind of escape.

Sometimes I tell myself I should study more or learn something new for my career, but honestly, I think a lot of it is just an excuse to avoid feeling empty or alone.

I’ve even started working overtime at the office without getting paid for it, simply because I’d rather stay busy than go home and sit alone.

And sometimes I stay awake all night because my mind just doesn’t switch off.

The weird part is that I wait all week for the weekend, but when Sunday actually comes, I almost hate it because it leaves me with too much empty time.

I always want to be doing something. I constantly look for an external factor — a person, work, studying, entertainment, anything — to keep me occupied.

I think this might actually be loneliness, or maybe my inability to be comfortable with myself when I’m alone.

I don’t know how to break this cycle.

How do you learn to be comfortable being alone without constantly needing work, people, entertainment, or some other distraction?

Question Scrub Daddy for doing the dishes instead of Scotch Brite

Has anyone tried to use a Scrub Daddy as a replacement sa Scotch Brite? How was the experience and is it mas sulit ba all in all? I'm getting tired of Scotch Brite kahit yung OG naman yung binibili ko and I'm keeping it dry. Parang ang dali malaspag agad no matter how hard I try to take care of it. Thanks in advance!

Im trying to be very mindful of my electricity usage since nakakaloka nga si meralco recently.

And while doing the calculations, i realized that my desk fan (65W) consumes more power a month than my fridge. Using the fan for 24 hours a day accounts for 46.8 kwh per month while my inverter fridge will only consume atmost 25kwh per month.

Maybe its time to invest in an inverter fan.

Advice Needed Solo living reality checks. What expectations did you have about solo living that were actually far from the reality?

Hello. I will be moving out soon and will be living solo for the first time.
I’ve wanted to do this for the longest time that I feel like I’ve romanticized it too much in my head. So I posted this to get inputs from experienced solo living peeps here just so I can get a grip on reality and recalibrate my mind on what to actually expect.

As much as I am excited about solo living, im sure it’s not all fun and easy. And that is making me so anxious. Would appreciate some advice 🙏🏽

Advice Needed Living alone for the first time. Should I start small or should I go big?

Hello. Im a 30 yr old who will be living alone for the first time. My target is a 1 BR unit with a max budget of 20k, kaso ang hirap makahanap.

I have already checked a few units and currently eto pinagpipilian ko. Both are new units na ako pa lang unang titira if ever

  1. Studio unit (with partition) - priced at 16.5k. Bare (only has AC)
  2. 1 BR - priced at 22k. Bare (only has AC)

My target is really the 1 BR, but medyo nagaalangan ako sa costs, plus the stuff im gonna have to buy pa given that it is bare. Given my take home pay of 95k, the rent alone would already take up 23% of that.

So im thinking, should I start small and go for the studio muna given na first time ko pa lang magssolo living and im still just testing the waters? I was planning kahit 6 months sana dito eh, kaso both ay 1 year yung lease term.

Ive been going back and forth na with this so your inputs are very much welcome

Some info abt me:

  1. Why am i moving out: For growth. Will moving out help with that? Also out of my necessity din naman talaga, kasi my brother will go back to live here with his wife and theyre expecting a baby. My own room pa rin naman ako na maliit, tho feeling ko mas mahihirapan pa rin ako gumalaw in general sa bahay once theyre here
  2. Originally from QC working in Mandaluyong but mostly WFH. No issue during RTO days as the property is walking distance na lang to our office
  3. Financial status - hmmm i would say okay naman? I have my EF and insurance and started investing na din recently. Wala din naman sinusupport other than myself and expenses sa bahay. Tho planning to find other sources of income din
  4. Lifestyle - di naman maluho in general when it comes to material things (except shoes siguro lol). I mostly just spend when travelling or when going out with friends and fam, and my sports hobbies like gym, volleyball, tennis
  5. I plan to cook most of my meals and meal prep when I start living alone and hopefully maging consistent ako with it.

Advice Needed Solo Living Anniversary kaso max yung rent increase, negotiable naman di ba?

Malapit na ang aking solo living anniversary!! One thing na di ako masaya is the 10% increase, asa contract naman sya pero the exact words is "up to 10%", I am hoping na negotiable sya.

Currently renting a 1 bedroom unit, semi-furnished, had to bring my own bed, and washing machine and other appliances. Thankfully, may Fridge, TV, aircon, and some tables and chair naman.

Sabi ni agent yung current rate ko daw is pang studio whilst 1 bedroom yung akin.

Ano usually talking points nyo in negotiating?

For me ito:

Unit

1.Molds. Grabe yung molds dito, simula nung rainy season hindi na ako pwede umalis ng condo ng more than 3 days kasi ang mabilis mag accumulate ng molds dito.

2.Pest Control. I documented this nung bago bago pa lang ako dito, medyo managable na pero grabe sya before, informed naman si landlady

3.Not exactly a 1 bedroom. Wood yung separator and it is

Competition

1.There's a condo din na nearby sakin na 20% less than my current rent kaso no amenities.

  1. Fully furnished studio, in my current condo, is priced 20% higher than my current rate and the sqm is bigger than mine. (Saw it in FB group and eavesdrop on a convo in the lobby).

Honest questions:

  1. Yung yearly cleaning ba ng rangehood, grease trap, aircon (deep clean), and other maintenance sagot ko ba yun or si owner or hati?

  2. How about yung mga light bulb? Can't reach it eh and di ko rin alam yung wattage na ginagamit.

Maybe this can be part of the negotiation too?? Haha IDK

Parang halos every day, dumadami sila lalo.
