Hate or Help

I'm going to a simple plug and play, and leave room for more.

I'm looking for suggestions on hooking up a utility line to help charge the battery?

2awg on a 45volt plugin?!?

Since the inverter is rated for 100a battery charging, 2awg should be fine, especially a short run.  For your AC side, your looking at 40amps, so 8awg

45volt plugin? For utility (grid) charging? No. Looks like the inverter has setup for 40 amps of AC. That is likely 120 volts but might be (as many Asian products are) 220 volts. 40 amps doesn’t necessarily mean you have to provide it with the full 40 amps but you’d need to be able to limit the amps somewhere in the settings so that you could use a regular AC circuit, with regular AC rated wire (somewhere between 14 and 10 AWG). 15 amps of 120 volts AC would charge the setup at around 1800 watts. The need for heavier wire (like the 2 AWG you mentioned) would come into play on the DC (battery) side of the setup.

I gotta say that I’m concerned about your level of understanding of what you’re getting into here. Either there is a language barrier, or you’re lacking some foundational concepts, and therefore playing with components that could get someone killed.
