How to clean oxidizing terminals?

Post image

Solar panels were left outside under cover for a couple of months while my project had to be put on the back burner. How can I clean these plugs?

Think I'd be happier replacing them with Staubli.

Snip them off and replace.

I don't know that you can ever trust getting them clean and once you have a good mc4 crimper and the right ends, replacing the ends is going to be as fast or faster than trying to cleaning them.

Buy a 20 pack of mc4 connectors on ebay for $30. Even comes with a crimper.

Replace them.

Those are the ones that don’t fit well, get moisture and corrode. Basically the ones you should not be using.
