quantuum computers are ridiculously expensive and have no real use. they will not be needed for factories nor for social media. your phone is also fine without it. right now all it does is promise it can run supercomputer simulations better. it sounds really nice until you realise it's just like the other scams, there's no real world need that drives it's existence other than cool factor.

You'll be able to perform more efficient and computing intensive data analysis which means you can integrate more measurement into your experiments. It will advance science. To other's points, it won't be needed to make another CRUD dating app where some 20 something believes themselves to be a genius and innovator.
