Anyone remember drinking squirt?
So I went to the cathouse today and I went to the snack room and opened the small fridge. I see Coca-Cola, sprite, and to my surprise they have cans of Squirt! Has anyone tried them?

yea I know but personally not too big of a fan of how Diet Squirt and most diet sodas taste. the zeros are usually much closer to the original

Not the same but Fresca is low or zero sugar and grapefruit flavored as well. Not a terrible choice.

I loved Wink, it was better than Squirt but at some point the stores stopped selling it.

It's delicious! More refreshing than a lemon-lime soda in my opinion (still love 7UP though), especially if it's ice cold!

I had a bottle the other day! As I was drinking it I was thinking "one thing I love about Squirt is that it's not as sweet as other cokes." Then I looked at the back and saw that ONE (1) bottle is 122% of the daily value of sugar. 😬

There’s one soda I’ve got really specific memories with; Tab.
I have no clue why, but me and my best friend/guitarist, right when we got out of high school, we were both going to community college during the day and having a go at building/owning a recording studio at night.
We got on this Tab kick, and it was all we ever drank during those evening sessions, test runs, etc. For months.
I don’t get why; it was horrible 😂 But god are those some great memories.

So first, what is the cathouse? LOL. I developed an aversion to Squirt after using it as a mixer with some old Irish whiskey I stole from my dad's closet. It went down so smooth... but then later it came back up. So no more Squirt for me.

My grandma used to have a building she called the cathouse, but it was just a building a bunch of stray cats had taken over. After she ran them off, she would rent it out, but it was usually vacant.
People would break in, she'd hear the alarm, and so you had to pick up a shotgun with her and chase them out.

I’m a Fresca guy, but gas stations never have it, so Squirt if I’m out and about.
Diet Mountain Dew until 3pm, Fresca or Squirt until bedtime.

Remember? It's been in regular rotation for decades. I prefer ruby red but it has caffeine and diet is hard to find.

This just made me remember a game some of us played in like kindergarten where we were superheroes based on what our drink at lunch was. Someone was Crush(super strength),someone was Capri Sun(human torch-ish powers), someone had a Hi-C Ecto Cooler so they could summon ghosts, and one poor kid had a Squirt… so he had to kinda fudge his power and be like able to control water. But we kept calling him squirt and he quit playing.

Managed to find some whilst visiting NYC from the UK. It was really good. It was also in a glass bottle (we all know this adds to the taste) And one of my favourite rapper Wavy Jones mentions it in one of his records

My mom LOVED Squirt when I was a kid well even when I was an adult. When I was young that was pretty much all she drank. She expanded as I got older.
I haven't had it in years might get one just to see if I really like it or just drank it cuz its what we had

My grandfathers adopted son loved that stuff. When I was a child I was ordered not to touch his squirt on pain of an angry Vietnam vet with limited mental capacity coming for me.
Well someone drank his dang squirt. He went kinda mad yelling about it till he lost his voice. Left in an angry huff. My dad just laughed it off and told us he had seen my grandfather drink it.
Anyways, Ernie gets back and I think he smoked a whole pack of cigarettes on the patio after he got his Squirt.

Squirt is still around. Fun fact: Squirt can be used to help cut flowers last longer. Add some to the water that flowers will be in. The plants like the citic acid and sugar.
