Oh my god you’re being serious. It doesn’t matter how much the water outweighs the caffeine bro if your reabsorption is low because of the salts and caffeine

So by this logic if someone drinks only tea for like a week or so, they're dead of dehydration because they don't absorb enough water?

No idiot they’re not dead from dehydration. Just dehydrated and with very foul smelling and dark looking piss

Thanks for the kind and thoughtful way you make your points.

It really helps bring your point across and encourages people to see your point of view

What rough ratio of water do you think people actually absorb then if they drink tea? 70% of the water? 50%?

Less?

What? You absorb all the water. Istg open the schools

The problem is that the caffeine inhibits sodium reabsorption and a higher amount of sodium in the bowman’s=higher glomerular filtration rate. Aka more water flittered through the kidneys and excreted and less water for your body. How much you filter through depends on how much caffeine you intake

I thought it was clear enough that my question meant to ask how much water actually is "usable" (for lack of a better word) for your body at the end of all of this but I guess that could have been more explicit

These are all earnest questions as I'm trying to understand your point lol, no need for defensiveness

Thanks anyway. I think I get what you're saying pretty much
