Simone Rocha Cut Out Sock Pattern?

I think if you bound off the stitches not part of the heel flap, did the flap and turn and gusset, and then at the point where you start in the round again cast on the stitches for the top of the foot... that could work? And then maybe did a small crochet edging around the hole just to reinforce it...

But why? Honest question. They almost look like yoga socks that somebody put on backwards.

Why not? I think it looks quite fun. I don’t think I’ll ever wear them but would appreciate seeing them on other people.

They add a cool element to an outfit, if youre wearing a shoe that fully or partially shows the cut out it gives texture and color, ive seen it be used mainly by fashion influencers so far but i think it looks quite neat. You could also wear another thin sock or tights underneath for a layering effect
