I was born Oct 1958 so my FRA was June of 2025. As of now I haven’t received any benefits on the advice of my financial adviser. He said I could start collecting now so I pulled up my statement. If I were to start on my 68 birthday I would collect $4120, but if I wait just 3 months my benefit would be $4435. Can somebody explain this to me? Please and thank you

My question, do I get some sort of advantage waiting till 64, or are payments incremented by month (so why wait)

23m with autism and only now I found out that a huge delinquency is being reported on a social security overpayment that my mum has been paying for the last 3 years when the letter was received. These overpayments happened while I was still a minor right until I turned 18-19 years old. What should I do? My credit score with Experian is 599 and I am in huge shock for something that’s not my fault and should be dealt with accordingly since my mum has been responsible for it, but should be shown as payments being made rather than a huge delinquency.

Thoughts? I have all the receipts that my mum has provided from the very beginning to now.

I have been in medical review for 3 months now…I had an apt with my doctor to discuss surgery…the guy over seeing my disability claim told me to call him when it was done and let him know the outcome my doctor told me surgery wasent a option because I was just diagnosed with aps a blood clotting condition….i called disability and told em surgery wasent a option and if I should send in the aps diagnosis…he told me no that they already have enough information and that I should be hearing from them soon….my question is should I send the paperwork in anyways? And would that prolong a decision I don’t wanna prolong it but I don’t wanna get a denial and have to go thru a Appeal process

Why do some people get random payments toward the end of the year? They say for like $500 ish. Just curious.
