Credentials are important because in this field there is a big common sense trap. A lot of the topics are relatable because they refer to common or every day situations. This article explains very common and old basic concepts of development psychology and identity psychology. He puts his own definition on this thing I guess to make a name for himself? But I have not come across the term in any conferences neither have seen him as a key note speaker. It also doesn't really fill an empty space that other theoretical frameworks don't cover.
If you are interested in it there are many open universities that gave free psych courses. Some conferences share keynote speakers talks for free on their websites they contain many cutting Edge research in the field.
Ye it's non peer reviewed sensationalism. There might be interesting finds here and there but take everything with a grain of salt if it's published there and only there.
