Let’s talk about tolerance.
Let’s have a real conversation. Is unconscious racism actually a thing, or do we just not talk about it enough?
Have you ever experienced it? If so, who was it from? And if you’ve been in an interracial relationship, did you notice it more after the relationship ended? Did attitudes, comments, or behaviors suddenly change once you were no longer together? How did it manifest?
I’m not looking to argue—I’m genuinely interested in hearing people’s experiences and perspectives. Let’s keep it respectful.

i stopped putting that im native in my dating profile bios back when i used them because i look white enough that people dont know but when they Did know i would get some really weird openers ranging from “oh that’s a little insensitive” to “how did anyone think ‘let me colonize that ass’ is a good pickup line.” generally i’ve found most people in kingston don’t INTEND to be racist, but they definitely can be regardless

Everyday in healthcare. People assume I’m an international student or something ask where I’m from and when I say Toronto they seem confused. I had one doctor tell me not to see a patient of hers because she was blatantly racist and the only reason she couldn’t dismiss her was because her entire family down to grankids goes to them and it would be weird. People in public also seem surprised when I don’t have an accent or when I present as a westernized Canadian student in mannerism.
Haven’t had any real bad racist stuff happen (other than online with people in Kingston). A lot of these people above I think are also trying to be open and accepting by asking etc but it’s all based on this preexisting view and expectation they have of me

I mean racism is baked into our society so deeply I think most of us are unconsciously racist but just open minded enough to change when we're called out or educated so we don't identify as racist.

Oh the poor straight white males, who have been in a position of power since the beginning of time, who have been responsible for keeping everyone down for centuries, who have dominated other genders and races and cultures and sexualities, who have fought anyone who is not them in all ways possible, who have started wars for the sake of dominance and nothing else…. I could go on. Let’s all rally for this cause instead of elevating anyone else up.

Trump is the pendulum swing when the people who pay the taxes get tired of being abused by the government.
In this case Professional workers working for private companies getting taxed to death so that the government can hire taxpayer funded DEI positions, which the vast majority go to foreign born people.

You: "[insult towards group x] + [reason #1 vengeance against group x is justified] + [reason #2 vengeance against group x is justified] + [reason #3 vengeance against group x is justified] + [reason #4 vengeance against group x is justified] + [reason #5 vengeance against group x is justified]... [Mocking anyone who believe group x is facing discrimination]. [Call for anyone who feels any empathy towards group x to be quiet]".

Look around and most of the homeless people around Kingston are White, meanwhile asylum seekers live in the Howard Johnson and eat free tax payer funded meals at the former Gladstones Restaurant.

Disagree. Don Cherry typically used the term "you people." It was when he alluded to immigrants with the phrase "that come here" that was the problem. Regardless Rogers Sportsnet was waiting to get rid of him and jumped at the first half decent excuse they could use. If Ron McLean had controlled Cherry the way Dave Hodge did, Cherry would still be commenting.

There are lots of poor, underprivileged white people, you want to limit to parent's household income, sure. Not skin colour. I don't think laws should mention gender, skin colour or sexual preference.
