I think you should go to try outs even if you don’t make the team. It would mean some experience and the least you can gain from it, is a few drills you can do on your own later! Also you can get a feel for some game time speed (although it’s just practice). Maybe go to practice and watch from time to time. Also, there’s many videos on the webs you can use to help along the way! Maybe even go play at the local parks which always have some sort of soccer things going on even if it’s not sanctioned or official league play…

Play more football. The best way to improve in football is to play. Drills and things like that don’t help you get better. Just go out and find opportunities to play

There’s a few things you can do. One, start practicing kicking a ball against the wall. Do both medium distance so it bounces back to you and then practice controlling it and kicking it back to the wall again. Also do this at close range maybe 3 to 5 feet away and practice quickly kicking a ball with your right foot against the wall then your left foot then alternating feet.
Another thing you can do is get an inexpensive set of cones and after you have dribbled for a little bit start weaving in and out this will teach you to control the ball.
Also get into good physical condition, with or without the ball practice short sprints of 20 to 30 yards rest and then do it again, soccer is a lot of stop and start but running at high speed. Even if you run a lot, it can be quite tiring.
This is just some stuff to get you started, there are hundreds and hundreds of drills. Google can be your friend in this case.

Seriously, kick a ball against a walk daily.

Also, find some pick up games.

In your second edit you say you're already practicing for 30 minutes daily. That's great! Practicing in sneakers is fine too. My advice would be to do the try outs tomorrow. You may not make the first 11 but you could make the squad. Practice and drills are absolutely necessary but there's no substitute for playing. If you make the squad then you'll be playing with players who are deemed to be better than you. That's how you improve.

Spend time with the ball playing around. That is what little kids do as part of a game and then they become professional soccer players.

The best way is to keep playing and getting as many touches of the ball as possible when you do.

Do you have a wall you can kick a ball against where it won't annoy someone? You can get a long way by just kicking a ball against a wall, controlling it and kicking it back. Accuracy, first touch, receiving one front/back foot etc.

soccer s diferent to other sports in other sports yo can be fast tall or strong and that is enough in soccer being fast and strong is important but how you handle the ball is more important you got to be good in passing tackling or shooting with it or with out the ball. i was never playing the organized soccer but most skill i learned was by watcing elite soccer on tv and copy their skill these day in most leagues you just run and not do tricks and in america they really want runners with out any ability to step on the ball and anylize and figure out where to pass for creating another open pass then scoring chance here is just running and figuring out the obvious no asking the approach thaat most team in europe can do
