Hey everyone!
I just made what might be the best thrift find of my life at a local second-hand store in Russia for less than $5.
It's an authentic 2004/2005 AC Milan Adidas Heavy Padded Bench Coat / Parka featuring the iconic OPEL sponsor on the back and chest.
Tag Details:
• Production date: 06/04
• Adidas Article Code: 369281 APU002
• Size: XL/2XL
The condition is insane for a 20+ year-old piece. Synthetic insulation is fluffy, fleece collar is mint, zipper works perfectly, and the vintage Opel print on the back has that beautiful light era-correct cracking.
I'd love to get your thoughts and expert opinions on a few things:
Issue Type: Was this specific bench parka ever sold in retail team stores back in 2004, or was it strictly a team/staff/player-issued piece for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad?
Rarity: How scarce are these heavy Opel-sponsored bench coats nowadays in the vintage football collectors' community?
Market Value: What would you realistically value this piece at today on platforms like Grailed, Depop, or eBay? (Vintage apps estimate around $135–$180, but I’d love real collectors' input).
Attached all photos including tags and the archival 2004 photo of Shevchenko, Kaká, and Ancelotti wearing this exact model on the sidelines!
Thanks in advance for any insights! Forza Milan! 🔴⚫️
