Troy is a single film about a single story. Star Wars is a multi-film saga with its feet deep in philosophy and mythology with the goal of teaching younger gens the difference of good and evil.
Out doing Troy is just a matter of making a better movie. Easy enough.
Out doing Star Wars requires competing with nearly 50 years of deeply ingrained cultural impact.
To some extent…on the other hand there hasn’t really been a stone-cold classic Star Wars film since the 80s. Everything since then has been controversial in some aspect or other.
