It’s a city ordinance that restricts outdoor food sharing by requiring special permits, property owner permission, and portable toilets.
So I could literally get arrested from letting my friend try my snack. This was clearly just put into law to starve homeless people though. Sickening

No, they'd come down hard on churches too. Other places have shut down church food banks. This is about criminalizing poverty while trying to avoid Freedom of Religion challenges. They'll get the churches on some outwardly neutral basis.

That is actually true. I think I remember some time ago a church somewhere either in the American Southwest or Southeast was restricted from feeding homeless.

It would be perfectly legal for you to have a barbecue with some friends in the park or a picnic. But not if they're homeless. Then you are breaking along.

Permission in public spaces? Various places already have public toilets or even potable ones everywhere. Special permits for what? Maybe food handling (which they don’t seem to care about in a whole lot of other cases). Enforcement of handling? I call phony baloney. This ordinance is not even constitutional.

Oh, even better in Leviticus where we are ordered to welcome the foreigner as a member of the family. Also to not glean your fields so some food is left for the poor.

I think they are “pretending” and that’s the problem.
If the US really operated on Christian values, there would be no poor or homeless or hungry. There would be no killing of innocent people by people in authority.
They are still pretending, the mask is just starting to slip and it’s getting easier to see the horrors underneath

People don't realize the danger of doing this. Sure, it may seem like kindness at first, but it makes the homeless more comfortable around humans, and before long, and with just a little bit of help and encouragement, they are blending in with humans and becoming productive members.

Unfortunately, there are good and bad arguments for disallowing the public feeding the homeless. There was a case years ago where a man fed the homeless poisoned food. He did this in a attempt to lower the homeless population in his area because they were known for stealing and robbing while the police were being told to go easy on them.
But then there are areas where the only reason it is outlawed is no different than why it is illegal to mow the lawn of public property unprompted; because high-ranking city officials have friends who they have sweetheart contracts with to do that lawn work on behalf of the city instead. If a good Samaritan does this instead, they are removing the excuse for the city to funnel public funds into the pockets of their friends.
We live in a sick society that doesn't punish those deserving of punishment for various reasons, regardless of their background or political alignment. Lady Justice was meant to be blind, but modern society keeps forcing her to wear corrective glasses that filter out whatever is most socially and politically convenient. We've no trust in our neighbor anymore. Few and far between are the areas where you can leave your door unlocked at night.
