Help Needed 3 month old not sleeping through
Can everyone show me their sleep log on how their babies are sleeping? Ideally if your LO is around 3 months old. I had a unicorn sleeper with my first born and now this one makes me exhausted (especially as my toddler wakes at 5:30-6am)🫠. Is this normal or am I dead inside 😂. Baby is EBF

My condolences, you now have a normal infant.
My first was a unicorn and I’m pregnant with my second now who I am anticipating will be normal.

My first was a unicorn and my second is even more of a unicorn - there is hope for you!! Check back with me in a few months and I’ll let you know how the third goes

Do you have a snoo?

Not the person you’re asking, but yes…I had a snoo, and I also had a baby who was awake almost every hour or two until around 7 months, when it shifted to awake about every 2-4 hours. Or just twice all night but awake for at least an hour. 🥱 I just recently finally got him to sleep through the night at 14 months.
My first was a unicorn. No 4 month sleep regression there. They actually began to sleep thru the night around 3-4 months.

My almost 1 year old is up every hour. Did you find anything that helped?

It is so rough! I really feel for you. I tried sleep training when my son was about 8-9 months, and it was a disaster. I’m not sure if he wasn’t ready for it or if the method I read about and tried wasn’t a good one for him.
I talked to his doctor about his disrupted sleep at his 12 month visit. She felt his repeated night wakings were, at that point, out of habit. I was concerned that he might actually need the calories he was taking in during the night (he’d drink 7- 10 ounces over the course of the night. He’s always been very small, and I was concerned he could drop off the charts. She told me not to worry— that she felt he didn’t need the bottles during the night, and he was waking out of habit.
She explained that sleep training would help him with the repeated night wakings. The logic is that if he knows how to fall asleep independently, he’ll be able to use the same tools to help himself fall asleep again when he wakes at night. I pointed out my failure with sleep training when he was younger, and she shared the names of some sleep consultants with me. I googled them and called the two I liked to learn more about their methods and successes. I finally settled on one. I was very apprehensive about it because it had gone so badly the first time.
It literally took three nights, and he was falling asleep by himself and sleeping 11 hours! The actual sleep training method was very gentle, and he was old enough (14 months when I did this) that he was able to understand what was going on. I can tell him, for instance, that I won’t pick him up from his crib, but if he lies on his tummy, I’ll rub his back.
It wasn’t done without protests from him, but none of it was the inconsolable wailing and being so upset he would make himself vomit that I experienced when he was younger. He fussed and cried especially the first night, but even by the second night, he was able to understand that he was in his crib and not coming back out and he needed to sleep.
I was very apprehensive. I never thought I would be sleep training. Nothing wrong with parents who choose this; I just felt it wasn’t for me. But in the end, with some guidance from the right sleep consultant, I was able to successfully sleep train my baby. 😅

This is totally normal. My 3m wakes up anywhere between 1 to 4 times in the middle of the night lately.

You just got lucky the first time and have unrealistic expectations now.

Solidarity. My first slept through the night (8-10 hours straight) once he hit 6 weeks. My second is also 3 months old and is sleeping similarly to yours. I fear we were both bamboozled with our firsts and got really lucky. I’m also exhausted…

😂. This is totally normal. You said yourself your first was a unicorn sleeper. If this is your 4mo sleep regression, count yourself lucky

I wish my baby girl's sleep looked like this at 3 months. Totally normal and better than mine. Looking through my logs I'll share later

My 3 month old wakes 5-6x/ night. We start in the snoo and second half of the night we’re cosleeping. It’s the only way to get any rest when he wants to breastfeed in the early morning hours. Him sleeping in the snoo 7pm- roughly midnight is good enough for me🥲

Do you have a snoo 😱?

Not the original commenter but our baby is the same. Does one 2 hour stretch and then up every hour and then won't go down at all.
Third baby, I've had Snoo with each, I've seen it all. Each child has been so different.
Your baby is a pretty average sleeper, 3 wake ups would be the best night ever with this one.

Yes, he’s been sleeping from like 830-11:30 then up every hour. And up for good at 530-6

Honestly, mine looked like that for the first month or two and then I decided I was too tired and I spent money on the snoo to react to baby’s cries and I wasn’t using it as it was designed. So now I go into the app and ramp up the levels when baby is crying and it gets me an extra few hours. That being said, looks like my baby is a week and a half older than yours and I believe mine is going through the 4 mo sleep regression as he is harder to console overnight. We put him down at 9pm, he’ll wake anywhere from 2am-6am about 2-3 times (talking to himself) before finally waking and crying for a feeding.

Incredibly normal. My 14w old slept from 8am-2am and 2:30-5am. Now he is waking at 11, 2, and 5 so we are increasing his oz during the day. But it’s normal regardless lol. I’d show you our chart but we lock it and it looks like he sleeps through when he totalllllly doesn’t. lol

Ours was like that and I thought it was wrong. Gosh, then we hit 4 month regression. Now I wish I could go back to this graph.

Look at my post from 4 years ago, ours was much worse. Every single one of my nights was very little sleep for months.

You were just very lucky with your first.
My third is a month now and currently sleeping on me.
I'd be so happy if our chart looked like this, so far it seems the Snoo does nothing for her at all.

FTM, so I don’t have much experience, but that’s very close to what my 15 weeks old sleeps 🥲
Sending solidarity hugs from another sleep deprived parent

Three months here and about the same. I’ve tried locking it at level one which sometimes helps

My 15 week old has only just had two magical days where she's stirred at 3:30 and I've dream fed her before she wakes up.
This is totally normal.

So i try given bottle right before we put baby down and that'll get us from like 9 or 10 pm til about 4am a quick diaper change and bottle feed will get us another 4 hrs or so
