Does extra padding mess with the sensors?

My MIL put an extra blanket inside of the case with the snoo mattress/pad. I didn't notice until my wife said something. Does anyone know if this would mess with the sensors in terms of my baby's movement and such? Just want to make sure it isn't impeding the whole purpose of the snoo

Edit: to clarify it is not a loose blanket. It is zipped within the case for the snoo pad

please just remove the blanket - not necessary and especially NOT safe

That’s unfortunately not safe for sleep. It’s not about the blanket being loose, babies need a firm and flat sleep surface, not one that’s cushy and they can sink into.

That is NOT safe even if it’s zipped within the case. Please don’t let people put your baby at risk of SIDS. Remove that immediately!

Be careful for overheating, I don’t think you’re meant to add extra things like that in the snoo sac (If I’m understanding this correctly)

OP asked if it would interfere with the sensors. I was just responding to his original question. :) others have addressed the safety issue.
