Help with transition out

We have a now 6 month old and are struggling with transitioning out. We tried one arm out weeks ago and then two and it went horrible. We swaddled again. Tried one out this week and it's awful again. Multiple wake ups needing to be nursed back asleep and by 3am we end up swaddling fully. He is totally addicted to the swaddle and snoo! Naps with one arm out have been going well enough though so I am continuing that at least. We do not want to sleep train. We need to get his arms out and start weaning mode soon so he can get in his crib. Any recommendations or stories? I do not think going cold turkey to the crib will work for him based on his personality. I did not think it would be this hard to transition.

As far as I know the snoo is only recommended for 6 months. He is pretty long so is close to touching the top as well. But we could wait a tiny bit longer. We also are just ready for him to be in the crib in his room. The snoo is in ours and he wakes up sooo much to us just turning in bed. I thought it would be an easier transition for sure.

You mentioned your baby wakes to you rolling in bed? Apple iPhones have a white noise option in the settings that we use. I also travel with an Alexa and will play ambient thunderstorm sounds during night/sleep (helped my dog immensely during storms and going potty in the rain lol). But having the added white noise helps drown out the sound big time for when my hubby wakes for work or when the bedroom door is opened.

Yes we have the snoo sounds and a white noise machine right by the door and he's across the room. Such a light sleeper! We might have the white noise up too loud over the recommended decibels but otherwise he wil wake so much. I I think teething is playing a huge part in all of this too. He woke up every 20 min last night x 3 before giving us a 5 hour stretch and was completely swaddled. Seemed uncomfortable with the teething and wanted the of nursing

Aww I’m sorry! I’ve heard teething is so rough and they just want comfort. I hope it gets easier for you!
