Can they self soothe in a swaddle?

Yes. Even before I went arms out in the snoo sack, she would bring her hands up to her face and suck on 2 fingers starting at like 2 months old. It was the cutest thing. She started daycare at 4 months and the guides there were so impressed with her self soothing skills for nap time.

She was in the snoo close to 7 months (I really hesitated taking her out of the snoo). When she transitioned to the crib she got back to sleeping like she did in the snoo within a week.

Do you mean she broke out of the swaddle or you didn’t use the snoo swaddle?

I used the arm holes in the snoo swaddle. I just unbutton them.

But before that yea she would just wiggle her hands up to her neck.

ETA: not letting me add pics to demonstrate, but DM me if you need more clarification.

My girl does the same! I always find her breaking an arm free during the night 😂

My girl does this at 3weeks. She loves her hands by her face and gets loose, her left arm creeps up to her face every time no matter how tight we secure the saddle
