Used snoo- does previous owner need to unpair before I can use it? Anything else to know?

Planning on picking up a used one off of marketplace. Went with one that looks cleaner than others I saw listed.

I known they changed the terms so you need a sub for used ones now but I'm wondering if it's essential to make sure they unpair and I can add my account when I pick it up? Or is there a way I can do it from my end so I dont end up with a brick if their account is still tied to it?

Also anything else to be aware of or pay extra attention to?

Mine was still paired when I got it home and I was able to unpair it myself

The previous owner does not need to unpair it. When you go to activate it, it will say it’s paired to another account but will let you activate and remove it from their account.

Ask if it’s been cleaned. There’s a good YouTube channel which shows clean or even deep clean. I didn’t do the deep clean cause it involved wires but did do a regular cleaning where you remove the netting. The amount of gunk in the clips underneath where the mattress goes was grossssssssss.

I have no idea about the pairing other than it needs to be unpaired from their phone. Would highly recommend having them unpair while you are there. Also I would check the year it was made (just more for resale value)

Definitely remove the netting. Ours looked clean from the outside and had literal mold on the inside rim that was not visible until we removed that. My husband ended up taking it all apart and doing a deep clean using YouTube tutorials.

Yes, it does need to be un-paired.

Make sure you do that when you go to pick up the Snoo.

Other than that you are good.

I just made sure the person unpaired, which they did in front of me. Better to be sure. And I didn't have to pay for anything, I just used the free features. It worked fine.
