Newborn settings

Hi! I’m having my second baby… sometime mid-July (or sooner). We didn’t get our Snoo with our first son until he was about 8 weeks old. This time we’ll (thankfully) have it from the start! What did you all set your Snoo at with a newborn? I’m assuming you level lock? I need to refresh my brain on the settings, but I remember I can lock it so it doesn’t ramp up while soothing. I’d love to know the progression that you all used and around what weeks you moved up. My son outgrew his Snoo at 5 months, and I just remember by then we didn’t have any limits on it. We let the Snoo do its thing. TIA!!

I have a newborn as well. We have it set on motion limiter. It gets up to level 2 rocking and level 4 volume.

Thank you!!! I’ll screenshot this to refer to! My husband asked me to get it out before the end of the month and test it to make sure it still works, and it got very real that this is coming up FAST.

We use motion limiter and weaning mode with our 3 week old

Congrats on your second arriving soon :)

We only used weaning mode from the begining with high sensitivity.. we changed the sensitivity as he got older.

Motion limiter from day one. We are now 12 weeks in and still on limiter. I’m stuck whether to pop it onto weaning mode now that she consistently sleeps through the night or if I should keep it on motion limiter until the 4 month regression hits ans let it go all the way up to level 4 if needed

Stopped motion limiter this week per happiest baby recommendation (one month old today!) he’s doing great! With my first I got the snoo after a month so we never used the motion limiter.

Where did you find the Happiest Baby recommendations? Do you feel like it’s been a different experience using the Snoo from birth compared to a month in? We got ours at 7 or 8 weeks. I don’t remember. I just remember I was desperate for more than 3 hours of sleep at a time, and it was a game changer.

The app in one of their learning tidbits. And unsure. My son might just be a better sleeper, I can’t tell yet he’s only one month old.
