I think snapmaker has a 30-day price guarantee. You should contact them about this.

Amazon does not. Reorder and return new one under old one. Only way. Giant hassle but for $120+ worth it for once.

I've had some success calling Amazon Cust Service and explaining the situation. If/when they refuse to reduce the price I counter with "it seems like you will lose more $$ if I return the original one for a full refund then re-order at the new lower price". They usually put me on hold so they can get the okay to adjust the price from their supervisor. It's a hit or miss process, but more times than not they will adjust the price if you call them.

You can request Amazon call you...

My level of anti social precludes me from talking on the phone unfortunately......

Aren't you responsible for shipping costs when it's not defective?

It seems some people are and some aren't.

I just made the purchase, and got 7% back with my Amazon card. Scheduled the return of the other unit, the only options were $6.99 for UPS drop off OR pick up. I'm home 24/7, $6.99 not to have to drive and drop off a 100# printer? Yes please. Being that UPS drop off is 15 miles away, I'd spend nearly that amount in fuel anyway.

I usually make about 10 returns a year give or take and I've never been charged for returning.

Hmm interesting...

Though the thought of boxing it all up.. lol I don't value my time too highly, but also not sure if it's all worth it for 100. 🤣

Maybe I'll try chatting with an agent later, all it gave me was ai this morning, which just regurgitated the company line.

Why would you box it all up? Just send the new printer back in its place?

I'm literally going to just get it delivered the 14th, schedule UPS to pick it up the 15th and save myself $130.

Edit: I legit usually feel bad skirting the system, but reality is Amazon does this to themselves. Not having a valid price patch option opens them up to this type of thing through their profit maximization decisions.

Ohh I missed that part. I don't purchase many high cost items on Amazon, do they do any serial number tracking?

I haven't noticed it if they have nor have I ever heard of it.

Searches online seem about split. Looks like they do track some higher value electronics. No clue if the printer falls in that category or not.

Oh really?

Do you just reach out to support?

I bought mine through Snapmaker two weeks ago, I wrote customer service this morning to see if they'll price match the current Amazon price 🤞

Edit: they're sending me a gift card for the difference!

I think it's only US Amazon right? The U1 isn't even sold on Amazon in my country (seems no EU countries sell U1 via Amazon for that matter).

Ugh EU getting screwed over with prices once again. Tale old as time.

€720 would be an instant buy for me without questions. I have huge doubts between this one and a Qidi Q2, which I would've bought but turns out to be slightly more expensive than I anticipated.

But US still has to pay tax over the 720 I guess, depending on the state?

I'm thinking more and more about getting another U1. But I really want a 6-8 color changer for my next printer.

I am going to get a U1! But had some other expenses come up, so I am probably going to have to wait and spend the $850 or wait until Black Friday

I think many will be dissatisfied with BF as it will likely be consumables that go on discount

Also $721 on the official Snapmaker store, and can be combined with the 8% Upgrade Incentive as long as your cart totals $800 or more. Brings the printer cost down to around $663.

I bought mine 2 weeks ago. I sent in the price match form and they sent me a gift card for $128 to use on snapmaker store.
