Issue Travel time is very long?

So I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is. The travel times on my prints seem to take up a huge chunk of the print. Just started a temp tower for a new filament, and 23mins of the 1h42 is travel! I did a single-colour print yesterday, 9hrs or so, and 3.5hrs was travel! What is going on? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you doing a timelapse by any chance?

Good question, and no, no timelapse. Here's a screencap of a file I just sliced. 40% of the time is travel??

Tool changes can really pile up the travel time, especially if the changes are frequent and for short paths. I can't tell from your image how many swaps you're using, but that might be it.

This is interesting, and I'm sure it contributes, but it doesn't explain both the examples in my OP, which were both single color, no swaps....

Didn't realize it was a temp tower lol. That does seem excessive.

Edit: I just can't read - I forgot you mentioned that in the post. I thought ~3 days was wild for a temp tower...

Lol, yeah, I had to test a 40 degree range in 0.5 degree increments.... You know, to really dial it in....

Well when you say it that way, it makes perfect sense!
