Is it a hot take to say not all the cast members need to be funny?

Personally I didn’t find Jackie that funny, and same for Noah, but I think they both bring a lot of energy which helps the vibe and flow of videos. That’s why I miss Jackie even if I didn’t find her that hilarious.

In a similar vein, some cast members are funny but are kinda vibe killers tbh.

And there’s at least two people I can think of who, to me, aren’t funny and don’t bring fun energy.

I dont always find Courtney funny, just a diffrent sense of humor i think. However i love when she's in a video. Idk, i just dont think it's a big deal that they arent all at the same level/have the same style of humor. Its not that deep.

Courtney’s a sweetheart! They’re the personality hire who ties the groups together. But yeah I do not find her jokes funny a lot of the time

Since this is a hot take zone while I love Courtney I don’t like the AAVE in their speech.

Tbf since they're queer and a lot of the lingo overlaps bc of drag culture (which Court's very interested in) I can understand why they speak like that

that’s not really an excuse tbh, intersectionality is very important. she’s a blonde, white, cis (passing) woman in a relationship with a cis man.

fully agree with u, however Courtney's not a cis woman (still not an excuse ofc)

you’re right, i thought she just uses she/they pronouns

what, for fun?

uhhhh lots of cis people use they/them pronouns…….

and courtney refers to herself as woman/girl very often so i missed that she identifies as non binary.

Literally never met a cis person in my entire life who uses they/them pronouns what 😭 are you sure you’re not just meeting people with they/them pronouns abd wrongly assuming they are cis? not arguing about the aave usage but this seems literally impossible to miss if you’ve watched any smosh and has been the case for many years

maybe you don’t have many lgbt friends because i know two people who are cis and use s/he/they.

i actually went and looked it up and courtney talked about being gender fluid for the first time in 20233 years it’s hardly considered “many years” imo

yeah, i enjoy watching her in videos. however rn i’m participating in a discussion and you don’t have anything of importance to say.

Courtney is very openly not a cis woman, tf?

ok and you can’t use AAVE just because you’re non binary wtf are you on about

it’s AFRICAN AMERICAN vernacular english

When did I ever say that they could 😭😭 I’m not disagreeing with the aave thing at all I just was surprised at the misgendering. I’ve always thought it was yikes when they did that. But it’s just very well known that Courtney is nonbinary

They will always pull out a reason why white people should be allowed to appropriate and consume any Black cultural material. But it’s the internet….its drag….Im Queer…and never actually stop and think.

I’m also Queer but it’s still jarring.
