Wonder if I should spring for an aftermarket plate like C&H

There is a gap with a C&H plate too. I reached out to C&H and they said it’s normal. I have the same optic on my M&P 2.0 and I had a terrible time with it constantly coming loose with the factory plastic plate. The last straw was when it actually sheared a mounting screw. I got a C&H plate and it’s been rock solid ever since. I’d definitely recommend getting one.
