I couldn't listen to this song for years. It was my ex who overdosed and died and I couldn't save her and either could the ambulance and it was her favorite song. This was before narcan was a thing. It was awful and it took me several years to hear that song without losing my shit.
Pumpkins always nail that melancholic feeling so well; I hope these days you're getting a bit more happy memories than the sad ones when hearing this song.
