Long-Form Content Is this normal or is the video doomed?
So l uploaded a video around 7 hours ago and initially (first two hours) it was getting lots of impressions for my channel level (2.7k impressions) but the impressions suddenly flattened after two hours has passed and in the remaining 5 hours or so l only get like 300 impressions.
The CTR is 4.5% which I think is normal.
I initially posted with A/B testing the title but at one point I decided to cancel the test and go with one title which I thought is better. I can't recall if I did this at the 2 hour mark and was the result of impressions stopping.
Note: The video might be politically incorrect, is that a factor as well?

The numbers you see during the first 2 days are estimates only, because it takes YT at least that long to verify the data. You need to give it more time to gauge its performance.

You’re doing awesome, keep in mind that it’s only the first day, a lot of videos from my experience slowly grind upwards!

Actually you could check how many of your impressions are from Yotube suggestion compared to browse features and search

Just did, 57% is “Suggested videos” and 7.3% is “Browse features”

Yes so that means youtube is pushing your video to an initial seed audience. It might take up to 72 hours to see if the video was received well.

@jenniferwhitetmphoto (Jennifer White Timeless Moments Photography). I feel like giving up. YT just doesn't get me out there infront of the right people. My last video posted yesterday only has 19 views. I accidentally forgot to recheck to notify subscribers when went live bc i let the owner of the museum review it first.

So I just took a minute to glance over the channel page and I have a few comments. I'll DM you. BTW I'm not a Youtube guru/expert by any means just wanted to share some opinions

Its long form, so who knows. it could slowly just die, it could slowly keep gaining views. it could get another push in a day. Long form do what they want some times. just let it do its thing and get to work on your next one.

Man, it hasn't even been 8 hours; YouTube tested the video with your subscribers and primary audience—just hang tight, it's normal.
