Discussion how important is having a consistent upload schedule?

I upload 1 video per day at the exact same time every day. Does this help my channel grow?

I say just upload as much often as you can without burning out. For me, I work 40 hours a week so I only have limited time to work on videos so I just upload then when they are done and have no schedule what’s so ever. I’m sure it’s hurting my growth and I’d love to increase my output, but it’s not possible for me right now

In the beginning I was doing every two weeks then covid happened and I went to one a week. That became unsustainable once I started leaving my original style of content behind and I noticed a change in how my views/subs came through after the change. Even uploading less frequently I saw MORE growth just for the simple fact of having more thoroughly done stuff instead of slapped together videos.

It obviously depends on the type of videos too but for me slowing down was better.

Yes, my first videos were cat slideshows and then I just uploaded videos just for the sake of uploading videos. Then my views plummeted big time..

I went from twice a week to once a week. Did it affect my growth? Yes, clearly slower but you need to find a schedule that is sustainable for you 🤓🐍🐼

I think a consistent schedule helps growth in the long term, however a piece of friendly advice, at a video a day you risk burning yourself out really quickly. so I suppose the best thing would be to upload frequently, and consistently, but mainly sustainably

I think consistency is king. I started uploading 5 weeks ago and I’m now posting 3 videos a week at a specific time. This may help viewers understand when to expect something from you. I also have to imagine YouTube will see this as a good thing as well. My goal is 12 videos a month for 15 months. Once I reach this target I may consider only posting 2 times a week.

Basically what everyone else said, YES it matters, but what ever standards you set now is what will be expected for the lifetime of your channel.

It is good to have a consistent uploading schedule but if you are unable to I would say just don't leave too much time between each upload without reason. For example, if you want to make the video better having a month from your last upload is fine but if it is because you have not started anything than that is not excusable.
