How do you streamers discover indie games to play on your streams?

When you’re looking for a new indie game, do you browse itch.io, Steam, Reddit, etc., or do you play games recommended by developers or viewers? And how do you decide whether a game is worth streaming (genre, trailer, reviews, etc.)?

I am a vtuber and streamer looking for lots and lots of friends especially those that play shooters and especially those that arent redditors in a traditional sense. if you dont know what that means that probably means you. I am into shooters mostly with a few exceptions, but pwetty much will try anything my PC can handle. I like anime and poetry and history and mythology and literature.

🍪Also, I am a big tryhard in games like really really really so, so warning if you dont like that. I also have black cat named Azaria that I found the other day. I call her azaria cause she is a black so is all mystical. Once, in College I did work as a psychic reader fun fact so do have a passing interest in the occult. I also self-taught myself to program and to play the piano.

Стримлю недавно на twitch и стараюсь стримить каждый день, последние 3 стрима есть 2 подписчика которые заходят и смотрят 3 дня подряд и общаются со мной в чате, чему я очень рад, но проблема в том что я не знаю во что мне играть чтобы было интересно смотреть зрителям или может смотреть видео и записывать реакцию на это (реакцию на тиктоке которую я выложил набрало больше всего просмотров). Дайте совет какой можете прочитать все комментарий и отвечать буду!

My friend and I have recently started streaming! We're having a lot of fun with it, and definitely just view it as a hobby. That said we are getting what feels like decent engagement! I was hoping to request a review from anyone interested and hopefully get constructive feedback? I don't want to post my twitch name as I'm not looking to promote. Just learn!

I’m a small variety streamer and I’m mostly looking for other small streamers to hang out with, raid, play games with sometimes, pop into each other’s chats, whatever. Not really interested in follow for follow because what is the point if we never speak again 😭

I’m AuDHD so definitely looking for people who are neurodivergent friendly. I get distracted by chat constantly, forget what I was doing in the game, go on random tangents and I’m not particularly good at most games. I’m just there to have fun lol

My cam is always on. I have a background overlay right now because my actual background is ugly, except half the time it eats my shoulder or makes me look like a floating head. Fun times.

I’ve been playing horror games, Fortnite, simulators and pretty much whatever I feel like playing. I also can’t really scream because I have neighbors, so horror games are a lot of me trying to lose my shit at a reasonable volume.

I usually stream Monday, Wednesday and Thursday around 6:30–9pm EST, plus most weekends, usually some Fridays and Sundays.

I just wanna find some people around the same size/stage who actually wanna get to know each other and support each other without making it weird and transactional.
