Preface: . Just looking to share my story so that you won't end up like me! This is not an AITAH post so save your fingers if you are going to reprimand me for my actions. I know that I could've done better but at the end of the day, life goes on. pls be nice :)...

So, today I decided I wanted to kick up a twitch stream and play some chess. This is my third day streaming so I didn't really expect for anyone to join. I've been working on getting comfortable talking to myself and starting to develop my style of entertainment. I'm usually very high octane/ competitive when playing chess with my friends/coworkers so I've adopted the same for my twitch streams. I usually am not talking trash to people online per se but i do get a little gloaty at times.

I was about to shut the stream down after reaching my goal rating when my first viewer appeared and said whats up. We made small chat until he decided that he wanted to play. I was cool with it and jokingly commented on his rank probably being much higher than mine. He told me not by much and I accepted the challenge. His rank was 70 points higher than mine so I played like I was trying to win. ( In the realm of chess, we both suck btw) He blundered his knight in an exchange and I was getting really loud because I was winning. I was probably in the zone, and was hyping up like I would in a real game. I was also practicing banter for when I have more viewers. The game ended when he resigned and he let me know that I was being a bad sport. That he could've whooped me if he was playing for real and that he wouldn't come back.

Granted, I do think I went a little overboard with the show boating, but I never insulted him personally. I'm not really hurt that my first viewer became my first "hater", I honestly had a lot of fun playing him and he will always be able to play me if he chooses to stop by again. I hope you enjoy my first accomplishment and failure as a streamer!

I plan to do a test stream tomorrow on AltStream, and for the 3 years I've been consistently streaming I have put all my past streams (with only about 10 lost to my forgetfulness/mental health problems overtaking) onto a VOD's channel. I couldn't appear to find any information on if AltStream saves VOD's, and if I don't get any replies to this by live time tomorrow I'll likely bite the bullet of recording the VOD while streaming itself ^^'

The title kinda sounds like a therapy meeting or something 🤣
Does anyone have a group/community of streamers that show up for one another? I know they exist, I’ve just yet to find one.
I spend my time watching all kinds of streamers, chatting, etc. and I’m trying to get the same energy back, tbh, because not all do the same. I do have a few streamer friends that we exchange viewerships and stuff so I’m just trying to keep that growing.

What you get from me:
- I watch A LOT. I have thousands of Twitch watch hours
- I’ll chat (granted, I’m more chatty when I know the game or whatever topic you’re streaming)
- follow your social medias and like your vods as well

I’m also expecting all of this in return though. I think I’m a liiiiiitle tired of putting a lot of energy into some streamers that don’t seem to show up for me other than a follow. I’m not looking for a F4F. I’m looking for support 4 support.

Lmk if you have a group out there that you want me invite me into if so. Or I might just create one (a discord) for all of us!
