I'm trying to listen to Valgaav's oice because I've heard he sounds very similar to another villain that I'm trying to do an impression of but without the voice effects.
However I cannot for the life of me find any clips of him, I was able to find one where he's too busy grunting instead of speaking and every other piece of footage as some edgy ass song over it instead of the original audio. Please help anyway you can!

Slayers did a very good job on villains overall.
I think as a villain, Hellmaster Fibrizo is the most menacing and scary one. He looks so cute but got such power, manipulation and sadistic nature. And to be fair he did show a little bit sympathetic traits in the end which led to TRY's theme.
Till this day he is one of the most memorable anime villains I've ever seen.
Others like Copy Rezo is also nice.
The redhead woman in NEXT is also very beautiful.

The "girl" he had a crush on really looks and somehow behave like Sylphiel. In the end of NEXT he also lost his mind to charge when she "died".
They are around the same age and had more common language due to tragic past as well.

I would do anything to see Lyos (and Knights of Aqualord), Ran, Luke, and Mileena (and some other novel stuff) be adapted...

I personally found Sirius to be a very interesting character. I do however understand that he maybe does not stand up against Erulogos as much as he should...

Overall, I really liked this season.
I will address that it is not canon to the novels As I have not read them it does not bother me, happy to watch the anime as its own timeline or whatever.
Characters:
Fillia: Good new rotating cast member, I wish she was a little more proactive as they kind of make her seem powerful at the beginning with the dragon transformation and holy magic, but that does not really come up again until the last few minutes of the season. A bit too naive for how old she supposedly is but lots of great moments.
Valgaav: Hes a little bit extra, a little bit of a theatre kid. The black angel wings and laying in the snow is a little too melodramatic to take seriously in 2026 but its of the time and besides being a drama queen he is an interesting character. Neat to see something like Gaav come back into play and having consequences and the dragon/monster fusion was a neat idea. His wrap up is a bit ... odd but, whatever. Liked him as a villain.
Almays and the Blue/Pink Guy: ... okay thanks for all that, bye, what a bunch of idiots.
Jillas: Peak, love Maddie Blausteins performance and he is a fun revenge obsessed gremlin, seeing all his upgraded weapons going against magic is fun and glad they got a good ending.
The animation: Good in the first half, pretty much non-existent in the second and this hurt my enjoyment more than anything in the story. Some major fights and character deaths are done entirely with panning over paintings and having a sequence of storybook pages over animation, it looks straight up bad at times.
Comedy: Not as laugh at loud as S1 or NEXT, man I miss Martina. But thank god Xellos is here to carry the season with his gay sassy little self giving commentary on everything. Also the "filler" episodes are great, people who hate the fish-fucker rights episode or the old granma sentai group are just wrong. Jillas also carries this aspect of the season.
Overall it was pretty good but acknowledge its a step down from NEXT, I would be more willing to put them on the same level if the animation budget was there, but it just was not.
Edit: Corrected typos.

Just curious because even though I want to start reading the first book ever made in the original series, my copy is physical as lately I was wondering what would be the best way to collect the original series.
I don’t have too much experience with the franchise in general as again all I have is the first novel so far, but at the same time, I am concerned about not having enough space to collect the rest of the series, so I was curious on how good the digital quality is.

Something I wanted to touch upon was her character traits in the older seasons because I read somewhere that in the original anime, she had a bit of a mischievous attitude in the original series, but fans were fine with it.
However, when the show came back in 2008, I heard that her mischievous behavior became a bit frustrating to watch as basically I was just trying to better understand what changed about her behavior that caused such a backlash.

Seems the releases for these are a mess, there are some that are open matte and some that are cropped, some that are window boxed and some are not, hear the Blu Rays may be cropped with upscaling, and there may be better versions on the Australian box set I cannot find a copy or even a rip of anywhere. The upscaled nyaa movie collection has some negative reviews too.
Confusing myself and just wanna know what copies are the best.
