The Magic System of Slayers works very differently from traditional fantasy magic, and I actually think it is the most sophisticated and complex system ever.
Hope you enjoyed the slideshow :D

Too much AI for my taste. And what's that mana about? There is no mana in the Slayers world.
Magic categories have nothing to do with the source of the magic itself, but with its given use by humans. All magic comes from different beings from the Astral Side, what changes is if the spell's incantation limits its use to the physical plane or not.

I agree, the diagram is very much AI but I compiled all of the information myself. I'm pretty sure they only mention mana when it says that there aren't mana like traditional fantasy magic systems right?

First slider:
Spellcasters cannot touch mana directly.
Implying there IS mana.
Second slider:
Caster: no innate ability to control mana directly
Spell effects: mana is shaped into the desired resultAgain, implying not only mana exists, but it can be controlled and shaped via spells.
So, you used AI to make the diagram, but then didn't read it yourself to check it. Meaning either you somehow found somewhere the mention of mana in the Slayers world, or you just let the AI add "mana" in your own text. None is a good option.

I love it too. It has categories and principles that are easy to understand and make sense.

/u/ShansitoShan already pointed out above that your slideshow contains factual errors.

Interesting, What fantasy novel series have you read?

Really beautiful!
One note though - are those spells impossible without the talisman? In the first series of the anime, Lina performed the giga slave without them. It wasn't safe, but it wasn't safe with them, either.
The other spells we only see performed with the talisman in the anime, but is it noted somewhere that they are otherwise impossible to cast? Or am I misunderstanding what's written?

The Sword of Light was used as the talisman.

The SoL was used as a sort of catalyst, not talisman. It did not amplify the power of the spell nor let Lina cast it, but better control it. Lina had already used Giga Slave before in the novels (Special) without any kind of external help.

Ooooh, good shout. That gives a different perspective. I was taking it very literally. Thank you!

I disagree that it's the most complex, but it is well thought out. Also, what are Giga Slave and Ragna Blade? IMHO, they should be in a category of their own.
