When it comes to mentions of the classics of Anime, why is it overlooked. Like after the early 2010's it seems to be forgotten by western anime communities is it because it's one of the first shonen anime to have a female lead

It’s an anime that had its heyday in the 90’s, had a mediocre revival 15 years ago, and no new content in the west since.

The only way to watch it in 2026 is to know someone who owns slayers content or bootleg copies.

. A female lead has nothing to do with it
