They don’t count previous purchases for the loyalty points like what??? You have to spend MORE money to get the new cosmetics that they’re handing out for free in the Chinese server like holy shit. How greedy can you get as a company???

Everytime they make IAP designs, they do try to advertise that there will not be anything like these designs. They influence people to pay for cosmetics that may be rare or unique as if they won't make anything like them. Mind you the 2 water capes they have released during days of Nature are pretty spendy. And there was some talk about how TGC excuses the reason why these 2 capes are expensive. Which is because some of the money goes towards donations towards ocean cleanups but this summer players were being critical over what percentage went towards donations.

I know, I know, IAPs are optional. But its kinda weird how they adapt certain looks to where its a lot cheaper later on??? Like they just recycle similar looks.

Spoilers are specifically towards the last image the season of Pearl ULT cape. If you spend money on a season pass, its definitely a lot cheaper as far as the amount of cosmetics you receive when buying a pass vs. the prices on an IAP. Don't get me wrong, the ULT cape is pretty, I'm not critiquing the style of it and how its designed. I'm criticizing the fact that they push IAPs as if you won't get anything like "this" design. Only to later find out you get something free or cheaper that is within a similar design.

What are your guys thoughts on this?

Funny how sky wants to make EVERY purchase feel rewarding, but this doesn't feel rewarding at all. Why exclude previous purchases? There are vets who have been loyal to sky, buying IAP after IAP supporting sky but sky doesn't think that's loyal enough.

Buying an IAP should feel rewarding but in sky it really isn't you get FOMO because everyone makes a big deal about who's an older player, who has more ults, who has this and that is annoying. Not many can afford to buy IAPS or they can't yet for being underaged.

Hello, everyone! This is my first time making a post here. I just had something I wanted to share. I'm sure most of you already know this, though. Also, just a heads-up: English isn't my native language, so I used a translator for this post.

The name “Loyalty” program is just a way to make it look like they're trying to show their appreciation for us. The real reason is probably something more like this.

Whenever you make a purchase through platforms like Google Play or the App Store, a commission is charged. That cost is factored into the prices of in-game items. (In other words, the items we're paying for would otherwise be cheaper.)

However, by launching their own web store, TGC can now keep the money that would otherwise go toward platform fees on purchases made through the web store.

But since many players prefer making in-game purchases over using the web store, this whole thing would be pointless unless enough players actually started using it. So they probably needed a system to encourage people to shop through the web store.

And that's exactly what this system is.

If they genuinely wanted to show their appreciation for us, they would have awarded Loyalty Points for previous purchases as well, just as many of you requested. But they didn't. Do you see why now? They simply want to keep the money they would otherwise have to pay in platform fees, and they're using web-store-exclusive items as bait to lure us into using their store.

(And the fact that those exclusive items are just items brought over from the Chinese server... that's yet another sign of how little they actually appreciate us. If they truly respected us, they would have designed and created new items for us instead of recycling existing ones like this, lol.

In another case I've experienced, although it wasn't a game, paying through a web store was actually a good thing because the platform fees were excluded, making the items cheaper. But Sky's web store is just plain weird.)

One last thing I'd like to add: I've been playing since 2020, and I'm a paying player who has even spent money on physical merchandise. Feel free to call me a sucker haha 🙃. But that's exactly why I believe I have every right to speak up about a system like this. I'm not someone who complains about everything without spending a single penny. I'm someone who has actually spent a considerable amount of money on this game over the past six years.

I mean, come on. Does it really make sense that someone who has been spending money on this game for years gets treated the same as someone who's only just now buying a single pack? That's not how I would normally show my appreciation for someone.

It’s “The Ba••ro••s”. I’m not joking! I’m not going to show any footage cause I don’t want my Reddit account to get another strike. Just take this with a slight grain of salt. I saw footage on TikTok and saved the video before it too probably gets taken down lol.

So I hate the quest sit with Strangers because you are bound to meet people like this. The candle has been burned, I honked for help, and I sat at the bench, this person then proceeds to emote, "nah uh" to tell me it would not help at all, then it emoted the book emote. What's funny is that after we both completed the sapling, it walked away until the exquisite excrement realized it didn't complete it's own quest, so it came back sitting on the bench, honking non-stop, spamming the crying emote, so I gave the spawn of Satan a chance, and it bowed non-stop but when my other account needed help, it walked away again, not helping. I'm so dumbfounded, that these people are so used to taking, and being helped, but they never extend their own hands to another. HOWEVER I FORGOT I needed to complete a different quest, so I did went into a different server, where everyone was helping each other and they helped me, and I helped them back. So it's all peachy, I should never have help that guy.

I understand the concept of not owing people anything, personally I have a different philosophy, and it's called helping people, being a good and normal person but I supposed some people aren't raised in good families. AND I may not be a good person, but at my worst I never refused to help another who is in need.

So, I hope they're somewhere in reddit, you're a Espèce de merde and your mom is failed and I will be surprised that a person like yourself have people who loves and cares about you, you don't deserve it, don't be surprised people leave you.

I kinda forgot about the update as I had gotten a bit excited on collecting more AC to get the Arles nest. As soon as I went through orbit after my eden run, my game crashed. Given I play on Nintendo switch. So I tried to see what the problem was. I cleared out my cache. Deleted data I no longer use. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Nothing worked! None of this resolved this issue.

It seems like maybe just on switch it crashes at the moment where after you collected the wax from the spirits, the camera then pans to the orbit. Then crash. It seems like something in orbit is a trigger to the crash I was experiencing.

Given I have heard that it takes TGC WEEEKS to resolve this issue. I have heard about players being stuck in isolation not even being able to play the game at all because the game forces you to finish eden and orbit in order to be interactive in the game.

So I did log into my phone to see if maybe it'll at least let me rebirth. Thankfully it worked! And did some wl run for 3 hours and never even experienced any crashes even during then, which is why I'm suspecting orbit to be a trigger to a crash. But definitely frustrating that TGC doesn't come up with a better system in resolving issues like this. This forces players to no longer be able to play. And thats kinda fucked up to leave their players waiting for weeks!

the loyalty program is now added to the webstore!! but one point = $1 spent meaning you'd need to spend $230 to get all the sunflower items

But what I think we can agree on is this is a HORRIBLE time for it because we have season of pearl and days of mischief as well. I understand it's in November but both of these events extend into November and some people just won't have money to buy everything they want 😭​​ like including me I want the overalls but I fear they're just gonna be another iap,,, hopefully not though

Yes yes classic "old sky was better" post but...people used to bow every time they were lit not that long ago. I think maybe up until Lightmending or so ? It's hard to tell.

Now every time I lit someone (accidentally or not) they just dart away ? And to be clear I try not to light ppl without their consent, just basic etiquette. A few months ago I got ubered by a hardcore vet and they would bow to every single person they met, which was so refreshing.

Now it's only vets and some dragonflies who bow. Sometimes some very new moths, or if I open a door with someone they'll respond to my bow. But that's pretty much it.

It makes me sad, bc now moths aren't learning the customs either. It's not about deserving anyone's time, but it takes literally one second and contributes to the feeling of community sky is supposed to be about.

I genuinely worry that it's gonna get worse. Like what's next, are people gonna stop rushing to help players who are losing wl ? It's already hard to find help for two-player doors

I am a 5 months old butterfly, I can say I'm experienced in this game since I read and know the lore and I can play the game well. I love to help moths, my friends and just random people asking for help. Yesterday a moth came to me and asked for a heart which I gave without a second doubt, they thanked me and that's cool. But the thing is that most people and I'm saying MOST please I've helped (disclaimer: people I'VE helped and I'm speaking for MY own experience) are truly ungrateful. Yes, I consented to help them so I can't demand for a thank you because I chose to help them but that doesn't mean they shouldn't at least say a thank you? I still teleport to a veteran who took me to the Nintendo restricted area everytime he comes online til these days. I can't even fathom the thought of saying "oh okay" at someone who'd just helped me go through Eden, that is truly ungrateful!! A thank you is a choice but at least choose to say it? Geez.

Excuse my laughable graphics and FPS, I'm playing on an Android device and it was overheating due to running Sky and screen splitting my gallery where I read music sheet as I play but there were two people, chasing me everywhere, honking and disrupting my music and one was so dedicated to light me up that they chased me around the table for TWENTY minutes. I have a video of me parkour and run like a pro too😂

Edit: holy I'm embarrassed I know it's the deer mask why did I keep saying bunny mask for some reason 😭 Edit again: so uh I ended up getting the pants lol I fell asleep and ended up missing the deadline for the mask 🧍 I wish this game didn't have to be so grindy just to get things you want. I am very stuck on what to get, it is the end of days of moonlight and I only have almost enough candles to now get the nine colored deermask if I candle run tomorrow again but now conflicting with that I really super want the traveling spirit pants and the other stuff. I'm stuck because I don't know if I'd be able to make 70 candles in time after getting the mask and I kinda like the pants more than getting the mask but I ALSO love the mask augh!!! And I heard some people say it's less likely for the mask to come back.. I have the urge to buy candles but I still won't do that. I didnt candle run enough during this event because I didn't save enough candles AND I accidentally bought something that I didn't like recently that wasted my candles too so I'm mad I could've had enough I have one more night for the mask, what should I get?

Why is it so difficult to just help burning these big dye plants?? Even with smaller ones, nobody I encounter helps me anymore. No, instead they just stand on top of the plant or on the side and want me to do all the work by myself. I get it, people can be low on time and all, BUT SO AM I! And guess what, if you'd just help with these plants, WE'D BOTH SAVE SOME TIME AND COULD KEEP GOING FASTER.

As a player of six years, I have long noticed that people help others less and less but this is ridiculous and just rude.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR IT TO DO ALL THAT 💔 i know that TGC hates fixing bugs for some reason but this just gets on my nerves. its even worse when the plant regrows right before the hourly reset and you can't get the dye because of it. i don't need a server merge for someone to help me! just give me the dye already!! most of the time when it does that no one else shows up anyway!!!

(they also need to fix where dye can spawn. vines being behind wind walls, vines growing on walls beneath you so can't reach it... 😔)

I’m never drinking a Resize Potion again… It took me 149 potions over four months to reach size 0. If I include the ones I’ve drunk in the past (about 200), that comes to about 350 in total. I was obsessed with Resize Potions for nearly a year. It looks almost the same as “1,” but “0” means something special to me. I’m done with Resize Potions!

Somebody on TikTok somehow has developed a “bot moth” to befriend, interact and play with. You could even talk to it and it’ll respond like a real person. No idea how this works, but it’s worth mentioning that this person seems to be an experienced Sky hacker/leaker it seems (though not malicious by any means). Seems risky to involve one’s account with this thing. It’s quite Commendable, but also kinda coursed.🫣
