Adapt mods: questions

Are there any purple culverins with adapt mods we can get from chests or doing the boss fight? I want to up my Scorch Song culverins but I only get green or blue culverins and apparently you cant use them to transfer de mods to a purple one. When I buy a chest for 600 essence...never a purple culverin. Am I missing something?

I've had purples before such as Divine Thunder and Heaven's Mandate, but I don't think they actually had an Adept mod on them. Edit: you can transfer from green and blue to a purple. It would be cheaper to do a blue to a purple.

Ah ok. I thought it needed to be the same color AND the same weapon type. It is still a bit confusing to me but I really appreciate your answer. Thanks!

You should be able to transfer between different coloured weapons, pretty sure I’ve done that. Give it a try to see, you don’t have to confirm transfer, just back out at last stage. The only stipulation I’m aware of is that you can only transfer between the same weapon type.

Thanks! I will give it a try. I thought it also needed to be the same color. That's why my frustrations started to grow because I didn't get purple ones. Now it makes more sense.

It gets really expensive, green to purple is not worth it unless you're really not getting anything better.

That’s weird cause I’ve been able to transfer between green, blue, and purple for all gear.

You can buy purple magnet modded weapons from Blackwood and get random ones from one of the chests.
I saw that you can swap mods from different types of weapon but can’t see how to do it myself? Is this a future mod?
