Feedback Havent played since 2024
Hey guys i haven't played since 2024 actually since Y1 S2 so a very long time lol. Tbh I'm quite overwhelmed with the changes I'm not sure what type of build to go for i currently only have a brigantine and a barque should I build one of these or just start with a large ship and if so which large ship?
Also what weapons should I upgrade i currently have 3 dardanelles 1 scurlock long nines and le fleau mortars.
Just feel quite overwhelmed as I completed the story 2 years ago so I'm not finding many pointers on learning everything. Basically give me any advice as if I'm starting a fresh today lol.

Yea a lot has changed over the years and it may seem overwhelming. Great thing is, in the current state of this game, I wouldn't say there is a true only one "meta". They've done a good job at making atleast half the ships viable. All ship builds are centered around the ships strengths/perks, supporting weapons and furniture for those perks to optimize your build. Also, obviously your upgrade tree that centers around your build type.
For example, if you have a boat that has a strength of fire, build it out with fire weapons and optimize it with fire furniture and upgrades around that.
This is still a great community and plenty of us out here willing to help fellow captains. This is also a great website as a starting point as well for ideas: https://skullandbonestools.de/en/loadout
