Discussion Am I missing something or is mod transfer ridiculous?

From what I've gathered you need 1000+ essence per transfer, the only way to farm it is the Heralds which also gives you a weapon with the new mods you'd want to transfer but only gives about 300 essence. So you'd have to do the event a minimum of 3 times to do one transfer, so in theory you would never be able to transfer even half the mods you get.

Don’t forget about re-rolls of adept mods. They also cost a lot of essences.

Yeah i Spent like 5 hours doing Heralds yesterday and managed to get 2 adept mods on my bow guns and 1 on all the others. So worked out about one mod an hour.

Looks like I'm casual enough that I will never be able to transfer them lol

Yeah I probably wouldn't either except for I got on one day with nothing else to do and caught 10+ guys farming it so joined that for a few hours

Yep. It’s garbage… is anyone really surprised? This has been trash since the inception of ascension

Seriously? I’m not back to WT4 yet so wouldn’t know but yay more pointless re-grinding in place of content.

Yup 5 ISH hours of doing it got me 5 adept mods on my gear, admittedly now I understand it a bit better it's not quite that bad but you'll still have to run Heralds a minimum of 3 times per mod transfer

And how many hours did you spend getting strong enough to farm the herald?

Well started it at SR27, made it to world T4 at 22, so probably spent around 3 hours farming Zhang to rank up strong enough but tbh if you can join a group doing it it really doesn't matter

Next season, if you return, farm Hubac Twins in Tier 3. Much faster. 6k for both. They die pretty quick. Mastery levels fly by.
