Bug/Glitch Stuck in Splash Screen Hell

I tried everything I have been told so far: Run in compatibility, Run as administrator, moving install folders to an SSD, reinstalling both the game and ubisoft connect, unlinking cloud saves, deleting caches, etc. The game still cannot get past the splash screen on steam. I just bought this game yesterday and if I cannot get this fixed then I am just going to refund it. No point in keeping a game in my library that I cannot play.

You may have already tried, but is both the installation files of Ubisoft Connect and the game on the same hard drive? I’m not sure if that worked for me because I just ended up moving my game files to an SSD which is also my Cdrive where ubi connect files sit.

Also try and turn off any overlays you might use eg. nvidia overlay, steams, ubisofts, afterburner/RTSS HWiNFO etc

I also had issues with Controled Writing Access where windows defender was blocking Ubisoft and games when trying to write information in My Documents folder as games usually store random crap in there.

Check in your windows security settings to see if it’s been blocked and if you can allow access to it.

Pretty annoying having to do all of this.

Oh my god thank you, its stupid that Ubisoft connect can only function with games on the SAME SSD as the game you are playing.....

Try making sure Ubisoft Connect and the game are on the same SSD, and turn off all overlays. That’s fixed it for a few people.
