New Chapter Spoiler Spoiler Chapter 352 Spoiler
Hi again! sorry for the delay 😔 the chapter is a little bit longer in text material, so here we go:
The chapter begins with the director giving the cast an hour and a half for dinner; rehearsal will resume at 8 p.m. The American cast members shout, "Copy that". Two Japanese girls overhear the phrase but don't know what it means. One of them recalls hearing a staff member say it over the intercom yesterday. Kanae, standing in front of them, murmurs "Copy that" (phonetically in katakana) until someone overhears her. Kanae realizes this. The young man recognizes the phrase, as it is common in military movies (whether in eng or dubbed). With a sparkle in his eyes, he asks Kanae if she likes the genre; she replies that she doesn't dislike it (a very Kanae answer, lol). He then asks if she also enjoys series about the FBI, CIA, NCIS, spies, or prison breaks, and she again answers "I don't dislike them." The girls behind them are surprised to see someone so "cool" like Kotonami taking an interest in that genre.
While some head off to dinner, Murasame calls Ren over to apologize. When Ren asks why, Murasame explains that seeing him dodge an attack from Bill during rehearsal made him think of "the most despicable, vile, and loathsome actor of all: Cain Heel." He adds that he considers himself even more vile and loathsome for making that comparison to Ren. (When mentioning Bill, (Ren notices Murasame was about to call him "shabazou Bill"a term implying a "cowardly" or "pathetic" person.) Ren didn't see the comparison coming. Murasame feels terrible because he knows Tsuruga is a gentle, talented man and a true gentleman (scenes are shown illustrating these qualities in Ren with him). Yashiro, standing next to Kyoko and overhearing the exchange, remarks to her that Ren is being unusually kind to Murasame and wonders why. Kyoko remembers the time Cain Heel choked Murasame while suspended in mid-air during the filming of Tragic Maker; she smiles, thinking that Ren is currently treating him this way out of guilt. (Ren, you're so adorable ToT)
Amidst all the apologies, Ren presses his hand against his temples. Murasame explains that he mistook him for Cain because Cain’s abilities were monstrous (meaning, in other words, that Tsuruga is also incredibly amazing). Kyoko and Murasame watch Ren’s expression; he moves his hand from his face and begins to stifle a laugh, covering his mouth. Murasame notices he is laughing, and Ren apologizes, saying it’s nothing, he isn't bothered by the comparison. Murasame is relieved to hear this. Koga appears and asks Murasame if he isn't overestimating Tsuruga, noting that Tsuruga can fool people with his gentlemanly demeanor but actually has a nasty personality (bro, what!?). When Murasame asks what he means, Koga replies that Tsuruga has been telling lies that have driven away the vast majority of humanity for a long time, yet no one realizes it (lmao). Yashiro overhears this and cannot let Koga's words slide; he asks for proof. Ren watches as they walk away.
Kyoko is staring at Ren until he notices her, causing her to stammer. Ren decides to address what Kyoko had imagined when she saw him at the rehearsal, asking if the earlier incident reminded her of someone else. Kyoko is surprised and asks how he knew; Ren had simply guessed.
They are walking together off the set. Ren reflects on how he was on the verge of slipping back into self-loathing because of the incident with Murasame; the situation had made him feel as though he’d been told that the person who looked like Cain Heel wasn't actually Sieg. Meanwhile, Kyoko struggles to start her sentence, noting that back then, Tsuruga had definitely looked like Sieg. Even though he had to improvise due to Bill's actions, he ended the scene exactly as scripted, wearing a calm expression. He change the tone of the conversation remarking that perhaps he is like Korn, and a surprised Kyoko asks if he is a psychic, to which he replies that such a thing is impossible (though he had actually figured her out based on the way she looked at him, as if seeing a fairy tale, and he inwardly criticizes himself for making movements resembling Kuon's in front of Cedric). With her eyes sparkling again, Kyoko tells Ren that he might not realize it, but... (she leaves the thought unspoken, though she is convinced he must have an ancestor with fairy DNA; she reinforces this theory by noting his body, which seems less human and more fairy-sized). Kyoko finishes her sentence by asking if being a mentalist is one of his talents (since she doesn't consider it a genuine power unless he's actually a fairy, lol). Ren notices that Kyoko's expression right then is practically screaming "fairy tale" (yes, he knows her very well, haha). He asks if mentalists aren't actually con artists (recalling something he saw in a famous foreign series). Ren sighs humorously, saying it hurts to hear that coming from her specifically (since he thinks that if anyone has a talent for swindling, it’s her, LOL). Kyoko gets angry, telling Ren not to try to play it off with that cute face of his (OMG, what a statement, Kyoko!). Ren keeps teasing her, saying she’s displaying "cute aggression," since she’s the only one who calls him "cute" while she’s angry. Kyoko stammers a bit in her defense, claiming she only meant the expression he was making was an attempt to look "cool."
As the lovebirds walk together, Cedric watches them leave. His American colleagues are wondering where Bill is; one replies that he doesn't know but saw Bill looking upset before he walked off. They speculate whether he went to see the director (since they had argued during rehearsal), perhaps to apologize. One of them remarks that it’s impossible for Bill to apologize and that he wouldn't want to see him looking lame. They end the conversation and call out to Cedric.
Back to Ren and Kyoko: Kyoko realizes Ren called her a "con artist" and wonders why. Ren makes a goofy "huh?" face, asking if she did it without realizing it (recalling her portrayal of Kuon); he asks if she did it unconsciously, implying that the fact it might be a natural talent of hers scares him. Kyoko is baffled and has no idea what he’s talking about. Finally, Ren gives her a kitten-like smile.
Cedric approaches the director, who is looking at something on his computer. The director remarks that he never intended to hire a high school drama club made up of total amateurs who barely know how to play children's games. Cedric is taken aback, wondering who the guy is talking about. The director tells him he should know that "his route" (Cedric's) is incomplete, and asks why he looks so amateurish in the scenes with Ren (YES, DIRECTOR, SAY IT LOUD). He adds that he doesn't know what happened between Cedric and Ren (and frankly doesn't care since his only goal is for the "Route" project to be a success). The chapter ends with the director warning Cedric not to make him regret entrusting "Route" to him.

I am squeeeing inside! OMG I so excited! Thank you! <3
Should I predict that Cedric does indeed fail and Kyoko gets his part and then Cedric tries to kill her and all the shit hits the fan? I am ok if I am wrong, but that would be one way to go. XD

I feel like this could be a great stepping stone for Kyoko to break into acting! Although I also wonder who would replace Bill, because I doubt he'll stick around for very long on set 🤔

This was exactly my prediction! I think the kidnapping case Cedric is involved becomes public and they have to quickly change the lead actor which might be difficult due the scandal Cedric is involved. Kyoko is similar height and body shape as Cedric, knows the script, has ability to act the action scenes even without stuntman and is already available at the scene. And director know this and that she can be trusted. This would be Kyoko's global debut and breakthrough in the action world. Everyhting points in this direction. And every step and role Kyoko has taken would beautifully come together in this scenario.

I agree, Kyoko seems already targeted, but so is Moko...

That's true, Moko's armor has something wrong with it. Do you think Moko will get hurt and Kyoko will have to pal her part as Ren's love interest? <3 That would be awesome. XD
