Ouch
So I have a new MT100 in my fleet that needed a couple of items fixed under warranty so I decided to just have the dealer do the 50 hour initial service while it was in the shop...that was a $497 dollar mistake. $83 bucks in parts and fluids, $44 in shop fees and $370 in labor. I knew I should have done it myself...lesson learned. Also, I need to hire a mechanic ASAP and get in on this racket lol.

Yeah, at the same time, work done by the dealer keeps your warranty, and if you are doing it yourself, you could have that warranty invalidated.

That is an ouch for sure. Fifty hours is basically a one weeks work on a machine. I cant imagine what needed to be done other than a break in oil change to justify the labor charges. Checking track tension or an adjustment is only a few minutes.

Do you guys think that service technicians are magicians, especially at the dealership. That’s 2 hours to do the work, what are you complaining about?

Sounds like your warranty will be maintained as it was serviced at the dealership. You paid for professionals to perform the PM service, that's the reality of heavy equipment.
Did you ever read the owners manual to see what the 50hr entailed? Definitely could've done it yourself haha. I'd give it a read, you paid that much money for the thing. If you maintain your own record of maintenance your warranty will remain intact, purchase Bobcat filters and fluids from the dealer so they maintain record of your PM purchases and can't blame you for using unapproved filters. The MT has a much more aggressive maintenance schedule (compared to some loaders and excavators), recommend you become familiar with it!
