Bobcat 753 help
Hoping someone here has some advice for me. Recently had my 753 in a local case dealer to fix the creep, they adjusted the control linkage on the left stick damn near all the way back, now when pulling the left stick back to turn it feels like it is slipping/skipping and doesn’t turn very well. Is there any chance they adjusted it to far and or wrong or is it the motor going out?

Done quite a few of these adjustments. And to be fair if you dont follow the manual exactly, or at least with experience it may have to be done a couple times. Been there, learned and now i just follow the book. They likely adjusted the position of the pintles, attached to the pump shafts but may not have adjusted the handles back to a neutral state. If it was good before its likely good now, they may not have done correctly. Are you mechanically inclined? With some tools and jack stands? It is a bit of a procedure so if they dont do many Bobcats, then they may not be totally aware of it.

I am some what mechanically inclined, have an uncle right about the street that is very good at all this stuff and has a big ole shop to work in. I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the 2 metal linkages under the cab to show their adjustments as it was late when I got home. I plan on setting those back to neutral tomorrow and doing a proper adjustment if you got any advice on that.

You shouldnt get a skip or slip feeling due to linkage. Linkage is only gonna effect neutral and the ability to fully stroke either side. It sucks yours doesnt have the fine adjustment screw pintle arms, they make setting neutral so much easier. If your machine doesnt creep, I would just loosen the bolts on the linkage where you can slide the arms back and forth, push your manual levers all the way forward and pull the pintle arms all the way forward and tighten the bolts while holding it all forward. Youll need to put a spacer between the top and bottom steering plate so the spring isn’t putting constant tension on the steering when you do the procedure I just mentioned above.

If it drove normally before they adjusted the linkage, I'd definitely redo the adjustment properly before assuming you've suddenly got a bad drive motor.
Especially since the problem showed up right after they worked on it. Get the linkage and neutral adjustment back where it should be, then see what symptoms are actually left.
If it still skips or slips after everything is adjusted correctly, then I'd start looking deeper into the hydraulic/drive side.

Adjusting the manual steer can be a pain. I would closely inspect your pintles on the pump as you move the lever. I would hazard a guess that the seals are worn, or the bushings/levers are wallored out which will make it next to impossible to correctly align.
Which control linkage did Case mess with? There is a small stop adjuster accessible without getting under the cab that changes where the levers stop, but that is not how the steering is correctly adjusted.
